Accelerated REader

Before AR testing you should be sure to:

  • Read a nonfiction book at least three times before testing.

  • A chapter book can be read only once as long as you feel comfortable knowing you actually remember the content.

  • DO NOT use your book while taking the quiz!

  • Take your time reading and testing

Always remember to use the five finger rule when picking out a book. Remember that reading isn't about getting points, it's about improving your reading. Always read at your level and challenge yourself enough to where you can get better at reading each day.

AR book finder will tell you if a book is AR testable.  AR books can be checked out in the school library, public library, or bought at a store or bookfair. Type in the title of the book. If the book doesn't come up then it is not AR testable.
